Hello, this is my first post on this digital marketing blog :) Please feel free to leave any comment below so we can learn from one another!
Nowadays, many brands and companies are utilising social media platform to further engage with their consumers. However, how many of them are really doing a great job on social media and are inspiring to others?
I have chosen 3 brands that I personally felt that they are doing a wonderful job on social media and closing the gap between the brand and the audience and creating a better customer value.
Glossier is a rising beauty brand that was merely started in 2014 but had already garnered more than 2.1 million followers on their Instagram, and they have at least 1 or 2 post frequency each day. The key point in Glossier's social media strategy is that they have identified clearly that their customer base largely are on Instagram so they knew they need their presence to be there. They build a community and continues to maintain it.
Surprisingly, Glossier's Instagram account had attracted more than 13k followers before launching their e-commerce website. They are really taking their Instagram very seriously! Just scroll their feed, they have definitely established their own brand identify and aesthetics. Being more proactive on your social media in the right way, will certainly bring your brand to the next level.
Scoot is a low-cost airline brand in Singapore and they are always famous to actively engage in their audience via social media platform such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with their bright and eye-catching campaign and tagline.
If anyone remember about the controversial topic - low ses/high ses that appear in local social studies textbook, Scoot actually took it on to their social media page and created a very witty marketing based on the current affairs. In fact, it had garnered more positive response for it's rather harmless yet engaging digital marketing strategy.

3. Colourpop
To me, Colourpop, a cosmetics brand that was founded in 2014 also did a great job in digital marketing. They understood the fact that using social media will be easier and more effective for them to reach out to their target audience - millennials.
They also did so by collaborating with popular Youtuber like Kathleen Lights. Kathleen Lights has more than 4million subscribers on her channel, and with this marketing strategy, it's beneficial for Colourpop as it will expose the brand to more people on the social media platforms. Furthermore, Colourpop created makeup collections with Kathleen Lights, partly I feel that the image of her suits the brand image of Colourpop, which will be seemed as more reliable and genuine.
Overall, these 3 brands are in my opinion, doing an amazing job on their online presence and thus attracting more audiences to the brand. There's definitely more brands that are also doing it the right way! Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment box :)
